21. Changing Eye Color

This tutorial was much easier than I thought.  So easy I should probably work on another image, or at least start on tomorrow's project, but I'm not.

Here, I turned my baby's brown eyes blue.

for a more natural blue I could have done two things:
1. chosen a less striking blue hue
2. adjusted the opacity (here it is at 58%)
but I wasn't going for natural;)

6. Retro Comic Book Effect

I had the most fun tonight working on this project.  The tutorial is well written and has great visual aids to help you as you move along the steps.

Here is the original:

Here is the retro comic book version:

5. Easy Image Sharpening

This result is less dramatic but handy when your photograph needs easy sharpening.  I used this tutorial and worked with an image I took a few years ago, pre-SLR camera at one of the Cenotes (sacred well) in Mexico.

To get an idea of what the entire scene looks like click here.  I found the video on You Tube, and it's a great way to explore the Cenote with a string of moving images.

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by!

Earlier this month, I wrapped up my Snow Globe 365 project and feel the need to keep learning and creating, so I'm teaching myself Photoshop.  I will begin this project on 1/1/12, but have already started experimenting.

Happy New Year!
May 2012 be the brightest yet.
